Name
The name of the club shall be Tillingham Bowls Club, herein after called the “club”.
Objects
The objects of the club shall be to promote the game of level green bowls, to promote fellowship between members, and to provide facilities for the playing of the game, and social activities.
Membership
Full Membership
Any person wishing to join the club shall be proposed and seconded by existing members and agreed by the Management Committee.
Junior Membership
Junior membership shall be given to any person over the age of eleven years and still in full time education, up to the age of eighteen years, if proposed and seconded by existing members and agreed by the Management Committee.
All Junior members must be accompanied by an adult member who will be responsible for them.
Social Membership
Social Membership will be given to any person proposed and seconded by existing members and agreed by the Management Committee. The ration of social to full members will be agreed at the AGM.
Honorary Life Membership
Honorary Life Membership shall be given to any existing member if proposed and seconded by other members and agreed by a majority at the AGM.
The name and address of any person proposed for any type of membership shall be displayed on the club noticeboard for at least 7days prior to consideration for election by the Management Committee.
CESSATION OF MEMBERSHIP
Any member may resign from the club giving notice to the Honorary Secretary. This will not affect the liability of that member for any subscriptions or other payments due from that member.
Suspension and Expulsion
Subscriptions shall be due by the end of May or one month after joining (new members joining during the playing season). Any member who is in arrears with his/her subscription at that date will be deemed no longer a member and will loser all use of the Club facilities.
Visitors
Honorary Life and full members shall be entitled to introduce visitors to the club provided that the person has not had his/her application for membership rejected. The member introducing a visitor shall enter the name and address of that visitor, together with his/her own name in the book provided for that purpose which shall be kept on the club premises; no member shall introduce more than 4 visitors on any one occasion. That same member will be responsible for the visitors conduct whilst on club premises.
Subscriptions
The subscriptions for full, junior and social membership, together with any other fees which members will be liable for, will be decided at the Annual General Meeting.

The Officers of the Club shall consist of the President, Chairman, Treasurer and Secretary.
The Management Committee who will conduct the general business of the club, will consist of the Officers of the Club, plus the Ladies Secretary, Mens Captain, Ladies Captain, Match Secretaries, Delegates of affiliated associations, Wine sub Committee, Green Keeper, Catering Officer, and any other elected office holder.
Five members of the Management Committee shall form a quorum,
The Management Committee shall make any bylaws they consider necessary for the well being of the club.
The Management Committee shall appoint sub-committees as they think necessary.
Bar Committee of not less than five members (three of which will be \officers of the Club) shall be responsible for managing the bar.
Club Accounts made up from the 1st October until the 30th September shall be audited annually, before the Annual General Meeting, by auditors elected at the previous Annual General Meeting.
Secretary
The Secretary shall keep a Register of names and addresses of all members, call meetings, keep correct minutes of the proceedings at all meetings of the club, conduct the correspondence, be responsible for the books and papers appertaining to this office and carry out any other duties in connection with the affairs of the Club as the Management Committee may direct.
Treasurer
The Treasurer shall receive and on the authority of the Management Committee disburse all monies due to and from the club, shall prepare all financial statements and shall be responsible for the books appertain in g to this office, all cheques to be signed by either the Treasurer and Chairman or Secretary.
Greenkeeper
The Greenkeeper shall have complete control of the use of the green and the maintenance of the green and surrounds.

There shall be no casting vote by the Chairman of the meeting. In the event of a tie; the proposal will be rejected. All Officers, Office Holders and Management Committee shall be elected each year at this meeting; additional nominations will be taken from the floor for all offices.
Committee meetings, these to be held as and when decided by the Officers, but at least every three months.
Special General Meetings shall be convened by the Secretary if requested by the Management Committee, or upon a request signed by at least six members entitled to vote, stating the purpose of such a meeting. At least fourteen full days’ notice of such a meeting will be posted on the club noticeboard.
Sub-Committee meetings will be held as and when required by these sub-committees.
Club Bar
A Club Registration Certificate under the Licensing Act is to be applied for when renewal is due. The Bar can be open during the following permitted hours:
Monday to Saturday 11.00am to 11.00pm
Sundays/Good Friday 11.00am to 11.00pm
The Bar opening hours may be amended by the Management Committee if they think it is beneficial for the Club.
Intoxicating liquor may only be supplied to Club members and Bona Fide signed in guests and to members of visiting clubs taking part in matches organised by the Club. Intoxicating liquor will not be supplied to any person under the age of 18years.
Lettings, the Management Committee may, at their discretion, let the club premises to individual club members for private functions, but no more than two functions per calendar month.

Competitions shall be organised by the Management Committee and controlled by the Competition Secretary. Byelaws will be set for all competitions.
Rink Bookings
Rink bookings shall only be made for competitions, order of priority will be; County, Chelmsford, Dengie Hundred, Club competitions, official Club matches will have priority over all competitions.
Dress
All members and visitors shall wear approved bowling shoes unless otherwise agreed to by an Officer of the Club. Dress for matches will be as specified for the day, i.e. whites or greys (grey trousers or skirts and white tops).

Amendments to club rules
No alteration, deletion or addition shall be made to the club rules except by a resolution put to a General Meeting and carried by at least two-thirds of those attending.
Any question arising from any of these rules or byelaws shall be determined by the Management Committee, whose decision shall be final and binding.
